Boone Woman Missing After Interurban Ride to Fraser
More than 150 volunteers tramped the hills and Des Moines river bottoms north of Boone in a vain search for Jane Ward a 76 year old crippled Boone woman. She rode the interurban to Fraser on the first Saturday to visit Mr and Mrs Fred Phipps. She was not missed until Thursday when Fraser residents found her home empty and she was not seen after leaving the interurban.

Theater Fire Destroys Emmetsburg District
In Emmetsburg Iowa Paul Weisbrod 17 confessed to starting a blaze in the Iowa Coffee Shop and theater basement causing $100000 in damages. The fire gutted the theater and coffee shop and damaged nine other stores and offices while one fireman was overcome by smoke and later rescued.
