Official reports from the CROP drive in Washington county show 1700 bushels of corn and 2597.79 dollars pledged in eight of 24 towns. County chair Fred Bourgeois says the total is about one third of the county goal and may grow as more towns report. Car Crash on South Fourth Avenue Injures No One
At 8:45 this morning two cars driven by Dr. G. E. Montgomery and Fred Edwards collided on South Fourth avenue. Both vehicles suffered heavy damage but no injuries were reported. Deputy Sheriff R. W. Fillmore said sun glare blinded Montgomery as he approached Edwards who was crossing from a side street.
