Funeral Service Held For Dr Thomas J Thompson In Washington County
The late Dr Thomas J Thompson whose life spanned 1848 to 1931 was a longtime physician and veterinarian in Washington County. Services were announced for Friday at the M E church with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery. Survived by his wife Angelina McClinti and a daughter Mrs Roger Jones, he was known for his civic work and generous charitable support. He lived most of his life on the old Graham place and near South 2nd Avenue.

Parole Granted to Earl Campbell in Desertion Case
Karl Campbell was arraigned in district court this morning on desertion charges, pleaded guilty, and received a one year sentence at Anamosa State Reformatory. The sentence was suspended on good behavior and he was paroled to W. Bar. Judge Frank Bechly adjourned court until Thursday, December 1. Miscellaneous orders were issued this week.
