Riverside teen wins reserve Hereford at Chicago Exposition
Mike Schneider of Riverside showed the reserve champion Hereford in the 4-H division at the International Livestock Exposition in Chicago. The 16-year-old placed first in the summer yearling steer class, with his prize steer purchased from Emil Huff of Dickinson, N C. He is son of Mr and Mrs Elmer Schneider and member of Riverside Ramblers 4-H club. The steer had prior top finishes including sixth at the 1975 Washington County Fair, fourth at the Iowa State Fair and second at the Waterloo Dairy Cattle Congress.
