Kent Klopfenstein Takes VP Finance and Treasurer Post
Kent Klopfenstein of Des Moines, formerly of Washington, has been named vice president of finance and treasurer of Den-Tal-Ez Inc and elected to the board of directors at the annual meeting. Tax exemptions under review by Iowa subcommittee
Des Moines reports the Ways and Means panel led by Rep Norman Roorda is pursuing a package to reform property tax exemptions. The plan would exempt only meritorious cases such as government buildings while considering nursing and retirement homes on a three tier tax basis. Roy Wilson wins blue ribbons at Southeast Iowa Poultry Show
Roy Wilson 11 won several blue ribbons at the Southeast Iowa Poultry Show in Davenport over the last Thurs, Fri, and Sat. He entered eight chickens including white-faced red Cornish large fowl and dark Cornish bantams, earning five blue ribbons, one red, no yellows, and a best of show plus best of variety for a cockerel and hen. Roy, son of Mr and Mrs Roy R Wilson, is a high school student.
