Washington Franchises Electric Plant for 20 Years
City of Washington Iowa grants to Iowa Southern Utilities Company of Delaware a twenty year franchise to erect maintain and operate a generating plant and transmission lines in the city. A special election set for September 19 1946 will decide approval, with conditions on routing rates and public works.
