Fox Awakened From Sleep In Iowa Cornfield
Joseph Graber, a farmer four miles southwest of Wayland, shot a full grown fox in his cornfield after finding it asleep. He knocked it with a hoe then finished it with a second blow. Graber recalled showing the fox to worker John Bare to prove the tale.

After supper, volleyball games followed and the group set September officers.
