Born 1928 in Keota, she was the daughter of Frank and Mrs Pfeifer and married James Wittetoe of Harper in 1947. She leaves a husband an eighteen month old son and multiple relatives.

Volunteers Fight California Blaze Near San Diego
More than 1,800 volunteers, rang ers and navy men battled the Cleveland National Forest fire near San Diego, destroying at least 28 homes and blackening 70 000 acres. Winds subsided, aiding fire crews who hoped to control the flames today.
