Iowa burglars sentenced for Keswick garage break in
Gail Brukett and James C. Smith, both described as Negro, received 10 year terms in Fort Madison penitentiary after pleading guilty to breaking and entering Will Smith garage at Keswick Iowa on July 17. Nineteen tires and 85 dollars were taken. Smith has prior 38 years in U S penitentiaries. Police said the pair admitted other burglaries and safe robberies in southeastern Iowa with loot over 2,000 dollars in cash plus other property.
