Keota High School Boy Falls Injures Jaw

Tom Mills a Keota High freshman was badly hurt when he fell from a trailer loaded with wood at a street crossing near his home. His lower jaw was fractured, face bruised, and a scalp wound. He was treated locally, then moved to University Hospital Iowa City. his aunt, nurse Emily Bayliss, is with him.

Bank Robbery at Gilman Iowa

Two men robbed the Citizens Savings Bank in Gilman Iowa taking about 300 dollars. A time lock kept others out. cashier Gilmore Olson and bookkeeper Chester Sjoberg were present as one man presented a check then demanded surrender. Dean Harland Mead of Waan Ineton Junior College said enrollment prospects are excellent and may equal or exceed last year. Interviews indicate 40 percent of last year’s students plan to return, at least 29 of June’s Washington high grads intend to attend, with others undecided. Ten-year-old Twila Partington dies after operation

Twila Partington ten years old daughter of Mr and Mrs Clyde Partington died Sunday at University hospital Iowa City after an operation.
