Mrs. Oliver Parish Honored for Life Save
Mrs. Oliver J. Parish wife of the Faith Baptist church pastor in Washington received the American Red Cross Certificate of Merit for saving three week old Kimberly Ann McPeek on June 12 1965 with emergency first aid. She previously lived in Sioux City where the incident occurred. The award presented by Clarence Logan marks the 131st Iowa recipient. Mrs Parish had Red Cross first aid training since 1957 and aided until the ambulance arrived at St Joseph Mercy Hospital. Kimberly recovered fully with no ill effects.
