Alma Glasgow White benefit tonight at the Graham features a lecture on Arts and Artists by Mrs White, with a concert program including Miss Connor, Miss Dewey, Mr Burrough, and accompanist Mrs Marion Anderson, and a note of thanks from the Shanafelt family. Also items on sale include a second hand buggy offered by F Gardner, and news of St Wm. Thomas visiting Pilotsburg.

Lineups include Nicola catching for Washington and Meenah Burroughs pitching, with Hott and Bell handling early innings for Washington. A large crowd is expected and a band led by Prof. Chas. Langenberg reorganizes for encampment week concerts. Also notes local caucus results and a kind act by Conductor Lew Davenport helping a nervous blind man and his two children reach their train.
City ordinance restricts carrying passengers within Washington to licensed operators. Fees set at $1-$2.50 per day or up to $12 weekly. residents pay reduced annual rates at the mayor's discretion. Prohibits overcharging above ten cents per ride and enforces misdemeanor penalties and fines. The measure, approved August 2, 18%, takes effect upon publication.
