Collie Adopts Pigs In Unusual Litter Bond
Four weeks ago a collie named Sandy adopted three piglets from a sow on the Boese farm after the farmer killed eight of her nine newborns. The pigs and the three week old piglet share meals and a unique bond with Sandy while the remaining puppy nurses with the dog. Two piglets died, possibly from rich milk, but the three week pig remains close to the collie and the one four week old puppy.

Mrs Clare Iverson of LaCrosse Wisconsin a former Washington resident died at her home about 7 o clock Tuesday evening. Funeral services will be held Thursday in LaCrosse.
