Thursday local 159 of the International molders and Allied workers Union monday ratified a new two year contract with Mcquay Perfet inc., thus ending a five week old labor strike at the Perfet Plant in Washington. Rank and file members of the Union local reportedly approved the settlement on a 41 to 39 vote. Company and Union negotiators aided by a Federal mediator had reached tentative agreement on the new contract in lengthy weekend meetings that stretched into late sunday night. Perfet officials said the labor Accord Calls for a 22.7 per cent average wage increase Over the two year period plus several fringe Benefit improvements. A successful Owca membership drive was concluded sunday with an open House at the Owca attended by 45 persons. Special features were an open swim Craft Art and club displays.
