A $70 090 structure to house the executive offices and classrooms for the navy pre flight training school at the State University of Iowa won approval in Washington. Lieut Com John Loom announced the two story L shaped building will sit southeast of the fieldhouse on the West campus. University architect George L. Horner said the university observatory may be moved to the roof of the Chemistry or Physics building.

Callanan Junior High Students Form Ice Cream Insurance

Admits Forgery Gets Year in Jail
Harry Swartzendruber of Wellman pleaded guilty to forgery in district court. Judge Frank Rechly sentenced him to one year in the Washington county jail for cashing a ten dollar check with another’s signature.
