Neil Lowery and Francis Crimmins, both of Fort Dodge, are sentenced to five years in Anamosa reformatory after pleading guilty to grand larceny tied to stealing more than twenty tires. Prices for Hard Liquor Reduced At State Stores
Des Moines April 24 UP Prices for 15 brands of hard liquor have been cut since December 1941 by the Iowa Liquor Control Commission per the April price list. Eleven other liquors and wines were raised. Bourbon and blended whiskies dropped 25 cents per quart on eleven popular brands with an average 11 cent fall. One gallon whisky declined 55 cents from 7.32 to 6.77. Another gallon bottle fell 48 cents. Three whiskies rose 4 to 10 cents.
