Wright County officials identified Clyde K. Henderson a 54 year old transient from Marysville Kansas as the man who died of burns when flames swept a storage shed used by a trucking firm for storing parts in Clarion. The shed and its contents were destroyed.

The Jaycee Easter Egg Hunt at Sun Set Park drew hundreds of children of all ages. About 3 000 candy eggs were hidden and they were almost all collected within four to five minutes after the 8 o clock start. The event is sponsored by the local Junior Chamber of Commerce Chapter on the Saturday before Easter. Three age divisions covered up to five years, six to eight, and eight to ten. Prizes were awarded from eggs containing numbers.

Eight Men Selected In New Group For Astronaut Training
The Air Force chose eight officers from 55 volunteers at Edwards Air Force Base to begin an advanced astronautics course in June. The group includes seven Air Force officers and one Navy officer, with masters degrees in engineering and at least 2000 hours of flight time. They will join NASA or other military space programs as graduates of the school and form a pool of pilots engineers and managers for aerospace projects.
