A woman identified only as de Lacy died when a Ward W. Prewitt Omaha operated semi-trailer caught fire after a collision in Marshalltown. Prewitt survived with serious injuries and burns. Red Ball Transfer Co. officials said the woman accompanied him from Chicago to Omaha. Sheriff Hilary Jennings said the crash occurred when Prewitt's truck struck the rear of another truck.
