Tipton Iowa April 14 UP hundreds of farmers gathered on William Butterbrodts farm to oppose compulsory bovine tuberculosis testing then submitted to tests after a Cedar county conference with Governor Dan W Turner. Turner said enforcement would continue and the situation was clearing up with 72 cattle tested in the southern Cedar county area.

Train Strikes Duncan Truck injuring family at crossing
Mrs. Gerald T Duncan and her husband with two daughters were injured when a Milwaukee passenger train hit their Chevrolet at the North Marion crossing. Mrs Duncan sustained severe cuts and shock, with long thigh and facial wounds. Betty six and Shirley four were hurt but to varying degrees. The truck was hit as both approached the crossing from the north near six o'clock. visibility was poor due to coal sheds and cars on a side track.
