Tay Ninh Hit Hard in Major Communist Shelling
Communist gunners struck Tay Ninh with rocket and mortar fire early today destroying part of the city and igniting 200 tons of ammunition. Nine civilians were killed and more than 90 soldiers wounded, five Americans. Another 50 South Vietnamese soldiers were missing. The assault, part of a nationwide offensive, also hit Vinh Long where 15 were killed and 105 wounded. U.S. losses were minimal with 33 communists killed in a ground action near Tay Ninh, while air and artillery supported allies.

Dubuque Father Electrocuted at Construction Site
