The Bayfield County Fair at Iron River announces premium books now available. Dates set for September 25 26 and 27 with rising entries and larger prizes in diverse departments. Highlights include improved race and amusement programs and a Boy’s and Girl’s clubs exhibit supervised by County Agent W E Brubaker. Washburn is set for a large turnout with Washburn day on the second day and a push to close businesses and schools to boost attendance.

Death of Mrs. Anna Faulk in City Sorrow
Mrs. Anna Faulk 46 wife of Frank Faulk died of heart failure last Friday morning. Found in bed about eight o clock she had retired in good health the night before. Survived by husband and four children Arthur Walter Clara and Edna. Funeral Tuesday at the Swedish Lutheran church with interment in Woodland cemetery.

Bayfield County prepares for its largest Sunday School Convention on September 21 and 22 in Bayfield. State workers will attend and a strong program includes talks by Mrs. Hostrawser Earl Moore Helen Hall Mrs Werden and Rev Carrier with demonstrations and a convention sermon. Land Clearing Demonstration At Washburn Friday Big Crowd Expected
University of Wisconsin leads a land clearing demonstration at Stevens farm on the Houghton road two miles east of Washburn with railroads DuPont LaPlant Choate and J K Kirstin Co. The event showcases methods cost per acre and new blasting techniques. Demonstrations begin at seven with a main session from ten.
