Chevrolets Pass Half Million Mark in 1928 Deliveries
Detroit May 26 More than a half million new 1928 Chevrolets were on the road by the end of April. Chevrolet general sales manager H J Klingler said the figure sets a record for a new model and exceeds the 1927 performance by more than 100000 units. He projected the year to surpass 1927 records as the peak selling season begins and more than 2 million Chevrolets and trucks may be in use in the United States by year end. Deliveries through four months and estimates for four weeks in May suggest a total near 525000 units for domestic dealer activity with GM Canada and GM Export included.
