Organist Keeps Post In Fire At Theatre
In Pottsville Pennsylvania on May 19 eight hundred patrons were evacuated after a theater fire filled the auditorium with smoke. The organist stayed at his post and played until everyone exited. Four women in apartments above were rescued by firefighters as escape routes were blocked. Two firefighters fainted from smoke but recovered.
