Cornplanters Host Class A Competition in Warren
The Cornplanters Drum and Bugle Corps will host a Class A competition in Warren on Saturday August 18. Organized in 1953 by about a dozen members, the group has been self supporting with a few donations and has appeared 23 times last season and nine times this year. An exhibition by the corps will cap the contest Saturday evening.

State Promises Flood Problems Will Be Considered
Local delegation promises immediate consideration of flood issues on Indian Hollow Run and Glade Run after meeting Pennsylvania Department of Forests and Waters officials in Harrisburg. Borough engineer R I DeBell outlined floods and potential permanent control plans. state board requested more data.
