Local Option Bill Seen Similar to 1909 Effort in Pa
Harrisburg reports the upcoming local option bill backed by the Pennsylvania State Anti-Saloon League will resemble the 1909 measure by Prof. R Willis Fair, which failed on second reading. Doctor C W Carroll says the bill must pass League committees before public release and a House sponsor is still to be chosen. The League aims to persuade lawmakers without deals, seeking votes in the House and later the Senate.
