The New Trout Law in effect since 1886
A 19th century notice informs fishermen of a new trout law restricting speckled trout catching to April 16 through July 15 with a ten dollar penalty per trout. It allows netting by landowners to stock other waters and repeals inconsistent acts. Also a legal notice from Warren County lists a civil claim for work and materials on a Mead township leasehold, demanding appearance in court to address two hundred fifty seven dollars and twenty five cents.
