Harrisburg Pa March 29 There is much speculation how Cashier Nutts state treasurer Baileys first officer diverted 425000. It was learned defalcation was discovered early January 1883 after Baileys arrival from Uniontown where Nutt funeral was held. Money taken from treasury in last ten days of his life. Baileys oil speculation covered loss. One unsettled account is Exchange Bank of Bradford with 70000. funds to be returned.
