Priest Released on 3000 Bond in Pittsfield Murder Case
The shooting of the Hagel boy near Wrightaville on June 29 sparked conflicting reports. Abram Priest, held on a $3,000 bail after a coroner and jury examined the scene, claimed he aimed at a rabbit and did not see the carriage. The jury ruled the death an accidental shooting by Priest, a 60 year old hunter with no prior malice.

Greenlund family reunion lights Warren with 70 members
The Greenlund clan gathered at the fairground in Warren for their annual reunion. Attendees included Andrew and Christain Greenlund and spouses, Jamestown and Pittsburg members, and 70 in total. Wyman's orchestra played, and dancing, games, and a large dinner followed. The next reunion is set for Warren with Charles Ipson arranging the date. The secretary holds records for 164 living members and many descendants. Officers elected were Andrew Greenlund president, Charles Toson secretary, and Christian Greenlund treasurer.
