Thistles Cut Fines and City Water Proposal
The law imposes a fifteen dollar fine for failing to cut thistles with duties on constables to warn, seize, and compensate at two fifty per day plus a half dollar per mile. Commissioners must remove thistles from highways. Water company talks with council produced a proposal largely like the earlier one but priced differently. council rejected it and stuck to the prior proposal.

Accidental Drowning Amid River Bathing Incident
Three Struthers iron works men Ed Goodman George Crowley and Louis J Greenwald after work walked along the river bank to bathe a flat boat drifted out and Greenwald vanished later found dead in about twelve feet of water Crowley and Goodman survived Greenwald 20 from Dunkirk had recently buried his mother and belonged to the Presbyterian church youth society His body was embalmed and sent to Dunkirk with a coroner jury deeming it accidental drowning.
