Death of Alex M McDonald Pioneer of the District
Alexander McDonald a Wallace resident and pioneer of the Coeur d Alene district died at his Boundary Washington home on June 3 after years of declining health. Born April 18 1859 in Charlottetown he moved west in youth and settled in Wallace in 1887 or 1888 playing a leading role in local mining ventures. He later moved to Spokane then farmed near Boundary before his death. He leaves a large family including nine children and a widow Cecelia Thomas. Burial was in Greenwood Spokane.
