Tarbox Mining engineer Stanley R. Moore has returned to the Tarbox claims on Packard creek near Saltese to begin surface prospecting for the south vein 600 feet south of the original Tarbox vein. He plans tunnel development to cut costs while pursuing a large body of ore surfaced by the vein and to extend work on the Tarbox vein west of the shaft. the company holds a large group of claims and has previously developed low grade lead, silver, and zinc ore in shaft workings.

Dr F A Thomson dean of the Idaho school of mines visited Wallace with Mrs Thomson and two sons. He addressed Kellogg High School graduates Monday evening and held the Day scholarship examination with many Kellogg entrants and several from Burke. Wallace and Mullan high schools were not represented. He may address the North Idaho chamber of commerce in St Maries before returning to Moscow. In India native movie devotees favor crime and crooks films.

The Tamarack and Custer Consolidated Mining Company will pay a two cent per share dividend on June 30 to stockholders of record on June 20. With 5,000,000 shares outstanding, total payout will be 100,000 dollars. This marks the second two cent dividend this year, following the first quarter payout, and brings cumulative dividends paid to 721,092 dollars.

One Has High Grade Ore in Prospect Shaft
I Solum secretary of the lone Mining company reported a ore sample from a prospect shaft carrying 50 percent lead and 14 ounces of silver. The shaft reaches 50 feet with 18 inches of ore at the bottom. The company is driving to cut the vein at 125 feet depth to reveal a continuation of the rich ore shoot near Murray, four to five miles away, near Pritchard creek.
