Andrew Hedin, manager of Willow Creek Mining, toured the area near three miles above Mullan to supervise progress as Mrs. Hedin prepared to depart for Spokane. A 700 foot tunnel plus 300 foot crosscut show a largely low grade copper ore vein averaging 2 percent copper and 2 ounces of silver, with chalcopyrite and bornite structures and occasional native copper. The crosscut may later encounter the Carbonate Hill lead silver vein. the company operates a water powered compressor.

Silver Purchases Under Pittman Act Rise to 150000 Ounces
