Idaho Mines Leasing Company Elects Officers and Sets Assessment

At its annual meeting last Saturday, Idaho Mines Leasing company elected L. L. Sweet as president C. A. Jolliff as vice president Frank Mangia as treasurer W. J. Stratton as secretary and Max Fountain as director An assessment of 10 cents per share was levied on outstanding stock Funds from the assessment will fund equipment and a broader development plan The company holds a lease on ground owned by Federal Mining & Smelting Co part of the old Frisco group The firm has a small mill and a large ore shoot expected to become productive after development plans are completed

Morning mine ore showing strong on 2250 level

Reports tied to the Morning mine indicate ore shoots on the 2250 level match the above levels in dimensions and grade or show better quality. The 2450 level is nearly reached by sinking the abaft 200 feet, with crosscut to the vein expected within 60 days. The 2260 showing suggests ore will extend to greater depth, boosting future prospects for the Morning and district mining.

Bunker Hill Signs Five Year Lead Contract With St Joseph

The Bunker Hill smelter extends a five year deal with St Joseph Lead of St Louis to sell all lead east of the 2nd meridian while reserving west coast and international markets. St Joseph, a major Missouri producer with a Hercules smelter, will market both Bunker Hill and its own lead. Frank M. Smith notes annual output of 40 to 50 thousand tons of pig lead, 2.6 million ounces of silver, and 5,000 ounces of gold, with metals allocated to St Louis, San Francisco, and Seattle facilities.

You Like Lease Returns From Last Shipment

The You Like Leasing company above the intermediate You Like level of the Morning mine shipped a carload of ore this week, the eighth, with returns last week netting leasers $2350. The ore is gray copper with lead silver. a similar shipment is expected to yield similar or better results. The lease runs from the intermediate level to the surface, with shoots of gray copper and lead silver improving as work continues. Wisconsin offers former soldiers $40 monthly for four years plus educational training.

Tarbox case settled amicably out of court

TheTarbox Mining dispute between factions of Tarbox Mining company is resolved amicably out of court. The suit filed August 15 by A H Fox John A Lewis N H Gunderson Chris Traxell Charles Bollinger and Henry Sonderegger against Tarbox Mining Frank J Davey William Daxon Richard Daxon and John F Ferguson was dismissed last Tuesday after a receiver request was dropped and the temporary restraining order lifted. Proceedings cited alleged fraudulent treasury stock option and misleading representations as grounds for action.

Lookout Road to Open for Travel with First Class Condition

Under county direction, the road from the National mill to Lookout Pass is being upgraded to first class. The broadened route with a gentle grade will become a popular county drive. Construction on the Mineral county side began this week with completion expected in 60 days, creating a premier highway section in the Northwest and extending the travel season two months beyond the old route.

Bald Mountain Copper Shipments Imminent

BALD MOUNTAIN. SE. Peel, manager of the Montana Power company in the Coeur d'Alene district, reports the Bald Mountain Mining company is preparing to begin shipments after a recent copper ore strike. A loading bin is being built near the Taft tunnel on the Milwaukee line, with a spur laid by the railroad using old construction grade. The mine lies about a mile and a half from the railroad, ore delivered by teams. Peel did not visit the mine nor know ore quantity, but the prep implies a venture of significance. The owners are believed to be eastern Washington interests.

Independence Lead ore samples shown by H W Ingalls

H W Ingalls directing development at the Independence Lead reported in Independence yesterday. He displayed ore from the west drift with more than five feet of ore similar to that on the east side of the crosscut. Crosscutting northwesterly reaches this ore. No 2 tunnel drift lies west of the ore exposure. work continues on No 2 crosscut and the No 3 level west drift.

Day mines ore to be shipped to East Helena smelter

A long term contract signs the Tamarack Custer and Hercules mines output to be sent to the Coeur d Alene district Idaho via the American Smelting and Refining Co at East Helena Montana. Day mines previously sent ore to the Northport Washington Day smelter. A B S E B will dismantle the Northport plant as part of the alliance with the Day Interests.

Eagle Creek Gold Mining plans bedrock flume venture

The Eagle Creek Gold Mining company advances a bedrock flume project to exploit pay gravel on Eagle Creek. Promoters include Archibald Smith as president and Rufus Dunlap as vice president with J C Parson, Magee, and Hanson on the board. Ground has $12,000 invested for equipment and a 214 foot wide bedrock flume with 8 to 12 inch falls aims to start mining next season.
