Bullion Mine Faces Water Flow Delays

James H. Taylor returned from Bullion reporting the main drift still flooded by a strong water flow. The stream shoots from the face near the top and extends 10 to 12 feet into the drift, with additional water under leaf pressure. Two workers remain to risk by buttressing the foot wall. flow may subside with time, but no decrease was observed on return.

Due to a lack of a quorum the Tarbox Mining company annual meeting adjourned last Monday to July 30. Current work is limited to surface prospecting on the Tarbox vein east of the shaft where open cuts reveal favorable ore conditions. development of the big south vein is likely to start soon and is expected to yield more significant results than the original Tarbox vein.

Fire Victims Receive Widespread Help From Many Quarters

After a devastating fire in Wallace, Mayor Mugh appointed a relief committee to raise and distribute funds and coordinate aid. The Wallace community, Kellogg business leaders, Spokane chamber of commerce and Red Cross unit sent cash and supplies. Thompson Falls offered shelter and transport for those left homeless, while distant groups expressed sympathy and readiness to assist. The overall response showed strong communal support amid the crisis.

Valentine Mining Co Vein Near Deborgu Montana Narrowly Explored

Mining engineer Gnaedinger surveyed the Valentine Mining Co property about six miles north of Deborgu, Montana. The vein extends for about a mile, with surface workings exposing rich mineralization including lead and silver.
