Long-pending divorce suit among 78 docketed cases finally dismissed
In district court last Monday Judge A H Featherstone dismissed the long-pending divorce suit Loretta Day versus Eugene Rufus Day, part of a batch of 78 cases that ended in final action. The Day case, filed in 1905, drew public interest over Mrs Day’s share of a large estate. attorneys Gray and Knight represented Mrs Day, while Beale, Woods, Wourms, and Borah acted for Mr Day. The 1908 entry marked the last record, and the widow later received a $500,000-plus settlement and remarried in Portland.
