Court Rules Hecla and Bunker Hill Case Commendable
After a three week trial the court vindicated Hecla Mining and Bunker Hill in the Star mine deal. Judge Huneke upheld directors McCarthy and partnership with Bunker Hill, rejected fraud claims, dismissed evidence on Star’s value, and ruled the Sullivan control agreement legal and commendable. Plaintiffs’ expenses were disallowed and appeal unlikely.
