W J Kirby of Spokane secretary for Idaho-Montana Mining reports a raise on the velocity from the long tunnel now under way after stringers of high grade copper ore. The tunnel nearly two miles long exposes the vein at about 1800 feet depth from the surface and roughly 1100 feet below the Monitor shaft. The company's property straddles the Idaho Montana divide with the tunnel portal near Adair on the Milwaukee railroad in this county.
