Galena Ore Shoot Near Peak Depths At Wallace

Last Tuesday the Galena ore shoot was reported to turn north toward the foot wall, possibly shifting to the east end of the shoot. If correct, a raise from the tunnel level near 600 feet depth may prove ore above the tunnel, with continuity between No 6 tunnel level and shaft levels across about 400 feet. The visible ore aboot on No 6 tunnel level shows a width of 28 feet in places, indicating large tonnage and moving Galena toward productive status, a development welcomed by Wallace residents.
