Appleyard May Build Interurban Railway
Bayfield Wis dispatch says Appleyard interests plan an electric interurban from Ashland to Barksdale Bayfield and Washburn with construction to begin soon. The move raises questions about Gogebic range interurban to the Montreal mine and Ramsay Wakefield links. The Gogebic line would total under eighteen miles serving about thirty five thousand people. The Ashland Bayfield route would exceed Gogebic mileage while serving a smaller population.

The Chicago and Northwestern Railway Co. will take 500 ore cars from American Car and Foundry Co. to meet demand as 300 leased cars from Northern Pacific Railway Co. are in use on the Gogebic Range.
