Wakefield Man Killed In Accidental Gun Discharge
Wakefield residents were shocked by the death of Thos. D. O'Brien who was found shot in his hotel room in Mellen. Authorities ruled the death accidental, suggesting he discharged his own automatic weapon while handling it, with the magazine still in the coat pocket. O'Brien had long lived in Wakefield and his death drew condolences from many friends and his family.
