Timber Shipments Loom From Wakefield Logs Reach Millions
Wakefield loggers estimate over 6,000,000 feet of timber will be shipped this season to Mason Donaldson Co of Rhinelander Wisconsin, with Briggs Hill and Manley responsible for about two million feet. Additional buyers include Scott Howe Co Tronwood Tomahawk Lake Appleton and others. Basswood and birch appear in large lots. Funeral services were held for Dorothy Anderson a 15 year old who died after a yearlong illness at the Finnish Lutheran Church. She was a freshman at Mass in high school, played music and basketball, and is survived by her parents five sisters and two brothers. A baby boy died Wednesday morning shortly after birth. funeral and Lakeview interment followed. W S Peters plans to stock 20 000 tons of road rock for upcoming road jobs. The I C O F local lodge plans a banquet and concert April 26 to celebrate the order’s founding with invited neighboring lodges. The home talent play The Glorious Girl is set to begin rehearsals next week with a cast to be chosen. Frederickson Garage received Chevrolet cars for spring orders and Mr and Mrs Oscar Maki welcomed a son born March 14. J C Rosenblum returned to Chicago from a visit, and Allen Olson returned to Eau Claire after visiting his sister.
