Wakefield township board authorized payment of 200 for a judgment against the township and ordered it spread on the minutes. The Emil Kymila suit against the township was referred to the township attorney J A ONeill. Endorsed Legendre & Driscoll bill for explanation to the same attorney. The board approved a $285 contract payment for Kumvnen Hill gravel work on the Tula road. A $50 donation to the 4th of July celebration was approved. The highway commissioner may clean ditches and spread rock on the Wakefield Tula road portions not covered by the contract. The board planned an inspection trip on June 10 to evaluate road layout requests. A petition from Wakefield township readers was received and read.

Wakefield Township bids for new town hall approved
Special meeting of the Wakefield Township board on June 15 1955 opened bids for building the Wakefield Township Town Hall. Tomlinson and Egan bid 22560 for general work plus stone and Italian marble add ons. Joseph Pollock 2400 for heating and plumbing. other bids ranged down to 22700. The board approved Tomlinson and Egan for general work with specified add ons and Pollock for heating and plumbing, with bonds required and finish by November 15 1955. William E.
