Lansing reports rising scarlet fever cases with 1406 quarantine cases in December and 164 new infections in the first three days of January. Dr. R. M. Olin warns early throat checks and quarantine for all suspected scarlet rash cases, noting a statewide spread though not an epidemic.

Wakefield Michigan city commission on December 21 1922 adopted a resolution to vacate a portion of the Old County Road described as running from the center of Section 17 township 47N range 45W diagonally to 38 feet west of the section’s eastern boundary. A public hearing is set for January 18 1923 at 4 00 pm at City Hall with notice to be published in the Wakefield Advocate three weeks prior. WM Jacobson city clerk signed the notice.
