Dreamy Studio Screenings and Stagecraft At Strand
The Strand Theatre schedules a set of film features and profiles. A glossy documentary on recreating Abraham Lincoln with detailed makeup and period flourishes runs with a cast including Joel Day and Duke Lee. Nearby, Dream Street depicts modern city fantasy with stars Tyrone Power and Mary Pickford in stylized roles. A flood disaster sequence from an epic shows vast crowd scenes. The program also promotes The Fourteenth Lover starring Vi Dana, a tale of a daughter torn between lovers and class.
