Hope Fades for More Train Service to Northwest
Prospects of restoring the old Northwestern scout service dim as post office officials consider motor transportation for Wakefield to Tronwood mail runs. A 4:00 pm cutoff would route evening mail to Tronwood for the 5:30 Chicago train, with return of Chicago afternoon mail. Duluth and other routes may receive improved service. Ramsay and Bessemer expected to gain similar motorized support, while Morning mail to Ironwood remains unsettled.
