Wakefield High School girls glee club presents The Feast of the Little Lanterns, a Chinese operetta in two acts, next Wednesday at the Community theatre under Miss Emma Knudson. Evelyn Olson heads principal roles with a cast including Jennie Bugni Elinor Johnson and Jane Baltic. The production features a full chorus, scenic work by Miss Kleihege, accompaniment by Miss Davies, and stage management by F. H. Hackett.

Wakefield Woman's Club to stage city Christmas party
The Wakefield's Woman's Club sponsors two Christmas entertainments for all residents. A free matinee for school children will be held December 20 at the Community theatre with reels of pictures and music arranged by D Kulasowicz. On December 16 a community-style Christmas program with music readings and an address will invite the whole city.

State Says It Can Audit County Books Only
The state auditor general C. B. Fuller replied that the state lacks authority to audit city or township accounts, so audits must be done by a certified public accountant under the charter. The commission had authorized inquiry two weeks ago, and the issue will likely be settled at the next meeting.

School District Names New School Dentist
The board of education named Dr. W. G. Wilson as school dentist at Tuesday’s meeting. He will work with the school nurse, performing extractions and fillings with silver copper or cement as needed.
