City Election Tuesday Sees Three Commissioner and Justice Candidates
The upcoming city election on Tuesday August 28 features three candidates for commissioner to fill W T Hornibrooks vacancy and three for justice of the peace starting July 4 1924. Also William Woodward runs for constable for a one year term. Polls open 7 am to 8 pm with free city bus transport for voters. A special election to vote on a general city charter revision may follow upon the clerk’s return from vacation. Tag Day for Starr Commonwealth for Boys set for Saturday in Albion Michigan with prizes donated and arrangements led by Miss Welly Hillis and local business sponsors.
