Four Attend National Jaycee Convention in Baltimore
Waco Jaycees members Bill and Martha Miller Randy Gray and Gloria will attend the 41st annual United States Jaycees convention in Baltimore Maryland June 26 to 30. Gray will serve as national judge and Miller, Texas Jaycees vice president, will attend a policy meeting representing central Texas Jaycee clubs. The delegation plans to meet President Johnson who will keynote the event and receive a Texas letter backing U S stand in Viet Nam. The Texas float theme features the Alamo and HemisFair 68.

David C. Hughes of Connally High School Waco wins a $4000 Welch Scholarship from the Texas Interscholastic League Foundation. Antique Autos Launch Texas Tour Boosting Waco Economy
The Mth Texas Tour of antique car enthusiasts led by Jay Powell at the Alice Center Inn brought in about 350000 for Waco. Visitors spent more than the average conventioneer, bought cars, trophies were awarded, and a swap meet capped the weekend. The group plans a return in 1969 with Austin HemisFair side trip, praising Alico Inn and city support.
