Wholesale Grocery Opening Draws Guests to Estherville
Estherville welcomes four hundred merchants and wives from nearby towns for the wholesale grocery opening. Visitors toured the city, attended a Grant’s Dutch Room banquet, and viewed the Grand theater and Elks Club with speeches by U S Food Administration reps. On Saturday, twenty seven booths showcased manufacturers like Jello, Carnation Milk, Del Monte, Pillsbury, and Libby, with local decorations by S A Walcott Fort Dodge.

Six more boys from this county left for Des Moines and Ames to study gas engine mechanical work. Horace W. Pullen Ole H. Miss Agatha Murphy Injured in Estherville Auto Jump
Miss Agatha Murphy a student at the Extension Summer School in Estherville was seriously injured last night after jumping from an automobile with Raymond Kubrick at Main and Eighth streets. She was found unconscious and moved to Spencer Hospital and was reported improved today. Kubrick said she leaped while he spoke of a football game between Estherville and Spencer. The girl's father was notified. The physician predicted a quick return to class.
