Mo A Barber Laid To Rest Pioneer Of Emmet County

John A Barber longtime Emmet County resident died at home in Emmet Township on June 7 at age 82. Funeral services were held, and his son Frank Barber shared a detailed life history, recounting Barber’s Westward journeys from Rhode Island to Wisconsin and Emmet, his Civil War era experiences, grasshopper famines of the 1870s, homesteading trials, and a lifetime of community standing and Christian virtue.
